Photos from my Dad

For the first time in 17 days, my dad was able to return to the house and sleep in his own bed last night! Before going home, he walked around Tahrir and took some photos. I'll try and add some captions, but really my dad needs to get a blog. Many of the photos show young folks cleaning up the square. A few show subsets of demonstrators- pro-police activists, those reacting against the pro-police activists, bank employees demonstrating for higher wages, etc.

My favorite one.

And just in case you're hungry for even more photos, here are some great shots. Warning though, some of them are graphic. Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. And the Celebration.

I can't believe all the pictures and videos you were able to capture. You are so brave for even going out anywhere while you were there. So amazing to see pictures and videos from someone who was actually there during it all instead of just what the news posts. Insane! I'm SO glad that you guys made it back safe!

Oh. My. Gosh. I don't even know where to start. I seriously just want to pick up the phone and call you so I can read off the list of comments in my head. I can't belive how many awesome pictures and video you got. You did a great job documenting all the excitement. You'll be so glad you did that down the road. Thanks for sharing! I'm glad things are starting to settle down for you and that the pieces of your life are coming back together. :) I miss you like crazy! I hope your next trip is to come see me. After that baby comes, of course.
