Back at the end of May, I made a quick trip up north to attend my youngest brother's high school graduation from Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but here's what I remember...
- Spending 24 hours in a car with my sister (and no kids in the backseat) was delightful. We bought some amazing fresh baked bread and cheese from the trading post in Cameron, AZ and quickly devoured it. I love my sister so stinking much. I would drive to Utah and back every single weekend if I could do it with her.
- My other sibs are pretty cool too. All five of us were together for the first time in a few years. It felt like old times. Marie and I nagged, my brothers ignored us and played video games. It was natural.
- My sister-in-law Yaya and niece Yuna are so dear to me. When I think about them going to Japan for the next several months, I get a lump in my throat.
- I didn't have nearly enough time with my bestie Carly and the spunky Miss Sadie. I'm thankful for friendships like this one. It's been months (maybe even a year?) since I've seen her, but I love that I can show up at her kitchen table early Sunday morning, eat some cinnamon sugar toast and idly chat away.
- Mountain West Burrito lives up to the hype. Delicious.
- I heart Utah. It's a beautiful place to live. My eyes were drinking in the green.
My siblings, youngest (tallest) to oldest (shortest).
My sister Marie and my Aunt Marie.
It was CRAZY windy and stormy that day.
One of the advantages of having such a small graduating class (about 80 students) is that you can do things like this...
Chris, I love, love, love you! You're an amazing kid and I'm proud to call you my brother.

It was so good to see you! I have complained to Daniel repeatedly about living too far away from you. Lets meet in the middle somewhere. Seriously. I'll bring Jen.
