Salem, MA

It was much colder than it looks. And windy. But so beautiful and serene, especially considering the history

On an unrelated note, does anyone know why my photos look less vibrant when I upload them to blogger? Its hardly noticeable, but enough to bug me. What am I doing wrong?

Less vibrant? Those photos are awesome! I especially love the colors in that first one with the blue sky, beautiful.

Oh, man, this is reminding me how much I like Salem.

Margs, your pictures are breathtaking! I don't know how they could look any better. What a treat to see Boston through your artistic photography, honestly.

I was going to say the same as these other guys. My exact words were going to be, "Holy Monkeys, LESS vibrant? Not possible. Those are gorgeous." So, I guess my "Holy monkeys" would have been original.

I bet if you discuss it with your Grandpa Gurney he can either give you some ideas or turn you on to several of his camera club buddies for some discussion of the topic. Go ahead Margie, become a total photo geek!

I will, dad. Become a total photo geek that is. I bet grandpa gurney would know the answer. It has something to do with how i'm saving in photoshop i think.

If you're getting bored with MA you could always zip down to NY. Just a quick train ride....

They look amazingly vibrant to me. In fact, I feel like this whole post could be made into a book. Each picture deserves it's own page. Beautiful. Time to look into publishing... Speaking of beautiful pictures, could I get you to take a few frameable pics of my kids when you are next in town?

I second the book idea. You definitely have a talent here. You could start an Etsy store and start selling your photos. That would be awesome.

I'm jealous!!! I served in all of these areas. I lived in a house over 200 years old in downtown Salem. You should go there during halloween!!! I have family burried in the old north church yard and there is a statue of the guy over a bridge that is named after him in cambridge. I have not been able to go back yet. It has been 10 years. I'm sure you had a great time!

Are you freaking kidding me?! Not vibrant?! Every single shot pops like the collar of a cool guy's pink polo.
